Paul has been developing and applying his craft for over thirty years as an actor, director, writer, producer and teacher with a focus on creating a bridge between training and professional experience.

His talents were first honed in the theater where he was a founding member and Artistic Director of Breadline Theatre Group in Chicago. Under Paul’s guidance, the company produced thirty world-premiere plays, and created one of the most unique arts centers in the city. Most importantly, Paul built his work ethic, aesthetic and belief in the power of a cohesive team of like-minded artists.

After directing the feature adaptation of his Joseph Jefferson nominated play American Gothic into the film, Brothers Three featuring the talents of Patrick Wilson and John Heard. Paul put his focus and passion into creating an important and necessary production/training studio in the heart of Hollywood.

The success of this program has garnered awards and international recognition; including a virtual technique system used by actors from around the world. He has written/directed award winning micro budget short length and feature films that have provided over 100 actors from his training programs on screen opportunities.

Paul has written and directed five feature films and over thirty short films which have garnered multiple best writing, directing, acting and producing awards. Currently, he is in pre-production on Harvest, a feature film and television series that he created that will begin sequential production in Serbia in the fall of 2022.

Paul launched Equitas Entertainment Partners with Holly Levow and Tom Sperry in 2016. Equitas is a production/film company with the unique and necessary mission to close the gender pay gap, while empowering underserved voices.

Paul wrote and directed Equitas’ latest feature as writer/director, Imprisoned starring Laurence Fishburne, Edward James Olmos, Juana Acosta and Juan Pablo Raba, Jon Huertas and Esai Morales.  The company recently gave Roselyn Sanchez her first opportunity to direct by helping develop her film award winning film, SATOS.

Paul recently launched Catalyst Entertainment Studios with Mark Pennell, from Beacon Pictures, and Equitas Partner, Holly Levow. KP will be launching its inaugural slate of female directed and produced feature films in the fall of 2022.

Paul holds an M.F.A. in Acting from Illinois State University; a B.F.A. in Acting/Directing from the University of MN-Duluth; and a certificate in Playwriting from the famed Royal Court Theatre in London.
